Security

Lake View Estate is a gated community and the security this provides is one of the advantages of the estate.

The main vehicle enry gate is controlled by remotes, a key pad and mobile phone access.

Unfortunately, the keypad PINs has been one of the worst secrets in Dubbo, especially because of the swimming pool. The PIN for the main vehicle gate is kept confidential and available only for emergency and other services.

There are three pedestrian gates at the back of the estate controlled by PINs. These PINs are the same as for the main gate - except C (for clear) is needed before the pin is entered.

Mobile phone access to open the main vehicle entry gate is available to all owners and all residents. The access depends on the gate being able to identify the caller from the calling phone so that it will not work with phones where called ID is suppressed. To avoid the temptation for residents to give out the gate PINs, relatives, regular visitors and contractors (eg gardeners and cleaners) can be given mobile phone access to open the main gate.

Residents can apply to have a mobile phone added to the gate controller by emailing secretary@lakeviewdubbo.com.au  The request must include the house number, the mobile number, the owner of the mobile and an email address.  If the resident is a tenant, the email should also be sent to the property agent or the owner as approval is required from the property agent on behalf of the owner or the owner. A tenancy must be for at least three months for a tenant phone to be programmed into the gate controller. In addition, a resident can request that one or two friends or relatives have their phones included.

Each house is allocated two remote controls which operates both the main vehicle gate and the house;s garage.

Please note that our Privacy Policy in terms of residential tenancy information is included in this website.
